This is a personal portfolio. There are no accounts, nothing to buy, and no contact form. The only thing measured here is how the site gets read.

What is collected

The site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use its pages: which articles get read, how long people stay, and roughly where in the world they are visiting from. Clarity also records anonymized playbacks of page interactions such as scrolling and clicking.

IP addresses are anonymized and typed input is masked before anything is stored, and this site runs Clarity's strictest masking setting. I do not collect names, email addresses or account details, because nothing here asks for them. Nothing collected is sold or shared. Microsoft operate Clarity and set out how they handle the data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Cookies

Clarity sets a first-party cookie so that two visits from the same browser are not counted as two strangers. There is no consent banner on this site, and that is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. A banner only means something if it actually gates the tracking, and one that pops up while collecting data regardless of the answer is worse than none at all.

Opting out

Clarity supports Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, Clarity treats it as an opt-out. It does not respond to the older Do Not Track header.

You can also opt out of Clarity everywhere it runs, not just on this site, through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page by selecting Microsoft from the list of companies. Installing Protect My Choices keeps that preference from being cleared when you clear your cookies.

Getting in touch

Questions about any of this are welcome, at [email protected]. If you email me, I keep the email, and nothing more than that.
